A lei geral de proteção de dados e os aspectos regulatórios da telemedicina

The present work has as its first purpose to demonstrate the need to expand quality medical care to the entire national territory, reducing the abyss of social inequality and territorial dimensions through the good use of technologies. For that, in addition to the will, security, method are necessary. Security embodied in the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709 / 18), which has as one of its purposes the protection of patients' medical data. As for the method, Brazil has made significant progress in this field with the publication of Law No. 13,989/2020, which authorized and regulated the modality of medical care in times of pandemic, Telemedicine. This type of remote medical care is here to stay, therefore, the need for adaptation and commitment to the legislation, aims not only to evade the penalties provided for, but also to ensure good conduct so that this modality can prosper for the benefit of all Brazilian citizens.
