With the advancement of technology in the fields of geoecology and cartographic sciences,
the use of topographic equipment has evolved satisfactorily for professionals in the area. This
tool has facilitated the work of surveyors, resulting in remarkable productivity, a level of
technical expertise and efficiency that was unattainable 30 years ago. Nowadays, thanks to all
this technological progress, we experience excellent and indisputable productivity in
topographic and surveying tasks, particularly with the use of GNSS for planialtimetric nature
tasks. However, due to the high productivity achieved in the field, we must take certain
precautions when using these tools, especially concerning their accuracy. The use of control
points from a surveying or topographic instrument, whether it be GNSS or a Total Station for
tying and establishing these control points, is essential and indispensable for achieving
excellence in fieldwork.
