ANÁLISE TEMPORAL DO USO E OCUPAÇÃO DO SOLO NA MICROBACIA DO CÓRREGO SÃO JOÃO NO MUNICÍPIO DE PORTO NACIONAL – TO

The characteristics of the occupation of Central Brazil and the expansion of agricultural activity are reflected today in the use and occupation of land in the municipality of Porto Nacional – TO. In this sense, the objective was to analyze and quantify the use and occupation of soil in the Córrego São João microbasin, belonging to the municipality, with the aid of geoprocessing tools, in the time interval from 2006 to 2024. The qualitative analysis of the thematic maps of use and soil occupation in the Córrego São João microbasin, together with information obtained from the literature, enabled a better understanding and visualization of human dynamics throughout the entire microbasin within the stipulated period. Among the thematic classes considered in the analysis, agriculture, urban areas and bare soil stood out for presenting the greatest variations in this 18-year period.
