Synopsis

This work presents an analysis of problems in the georeferencing of rural properties, focusing on land registration in Santa Rita de Caldas, MG. Using a literature review and interviews with professionals in the field, we identify the main challenges and propose solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the land registration process. The objective is to provide a practical guide for surveying professionals and contribute to land regularization in Brazil. The results revealed the urgent need for continuous training of professionals, since the lack of attention and insufficient commitment in the preparation of technical documents result in significant errors, such as the incorrect identification of the parties and the absence of essential documents. The standardization of technical documents and the creation of more efficient communication channels with INCRA analysts were identified as crucial measures to reduce variability and improve the efficiency of registration processes. It is concluded that investments in professional training, standardization of procedures and improved communication are essential to ensure technical precision and operational efficiency.
