Synopsis

This article aims to investigate the impact of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) integration in the georeferencing of rural properties in Brazil. The use of UAVs for geospatial data collection represents a technological innovation that can enhance the efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness of georeferencing, making it more accessible and sustainable for land regularization and territorial planning. The research will address traditional georeferencing practices, exploring aerial photogrammetry as a precursor technique in data collection and analyzing the characteristics of UAVs used in this context. Brazilian regulations for UAV operation in georeferencing will be assessed, including legal and ethical challenges associated with this technological integration. The research will demonstrate how data collected by UAVs are processed to meet INCRA requirements, identifying economic and practical benefits for rural property regularization in Brazil.
