ThismonographpresentedtoobtainthetitleofBachelorofLaw.Itaimstopresenttheaccessibilitylawsforpeoplewithdisabilities,morespecificallythedeafpersonarrested,inthecontextoflegalassistance,whothedeafpersonis,howtheyshouldbeservedinordertoguaranteetheirconstitutionalrightsandwhatarethenecessarydevicesthatshouldbemadeavailable.AsurveywascarriedoutusingaquestionnairetounderstandhowtheAccessibilityLawiscurrentlyapplied,thelevelofknowledgeofcivilservantsaboutthedeafpersoninprisonandthelawsthatprotectthem.Inadditiontopointingouttheneedforspecificknowledgeinlawbytranslatorsinterpreterstobetterservethedeafdetainee.Theresultsshowthatthereismuchtobedonetoguaranteethedeafpersonunderconstitutionalrights,suchaswide-rangingandcontradictorydefense.TheTJMGtogetherwithCEFLAG/MGmustpromoteinformationandtrainingtoqualifytheemployeesequallyintermsoftheAccessibilityLawandhowtodealwiththedeafandthetranslatorinterpretermustbequalifiedwithminimumknowledgeintheareaofLawtoactsatisfactorywayofmonitoringthedeafpersoninordertoensureabetterunderstandingbetweenthedeaf person and the legal operators
