Keywords:

this article aims to understand the possibility of implementing a complete police cycle in brazilian states and the consequences arising from this new form of police action and structuring for public security. For this, as part of the methodology, an analysis of scientific works, brazilian and current, on the subject was carried out, in which the authors have divergences of thoughts about the change in the civil and military police, but prevailing the majority of ideas favorable to the implementation of the full-cycle police model. With the current problems faced by public security, the complete police cycle, originating in France, has become a widely discussed alternative to promote a balance between civil and military police, which are overloaded by the demands generated by society and work in a decentralized way, as the constitutional provision, increasing public spending. The results indicate that there will be a reduction in crime rates across the country and modernization in the performance of the new police force, through the union of efforts and debureaucratization of police actions. After the analysis, it is concluded that the complete police cycle, although not the only solution to all public security problems, represents more gains than losses for society, as its purpose is to reduce expenses, police valorization and efficiency in the services provided.
