Enquadramento do crime de perseguição como um tipo de violência doméstica e familiar

Law No. 14,132, of March 31, 2021, introduced the crime of stalking into the Brazilian Penal Code, criminalizing stalking. There are theoretical studies and statistics that show that stalking is a form of gender violence. Conduct research and review the literature to look at stalking from the perspective of domestic and domestic violence against women and identify it as a specific form of psychological violence that occurs more frequently and is more serious among women. Thus, the importance of analyzing stalking as gender violence is validated, which requires specific treatment by social and governmental entities in the criminal sphere and in the definitions of public policies.
