Abuse of Authority Law compared to the Military Police of Minas Gerais work

Laws nº 13.869/2019 and nº 4.898/1965 were compared, which provide the abuse of authority crimes, in additon, that laws were compared to the operational doctrine of the Military Police of Minas Gerais, which deals with the correct performance of the police officer about to the operational service. In order to confront them, an approach based on the methodology of bibliographical review was carried out, in order to characterize the actions by public agents, which are considered crimes of abuse of authority. For this, the between differences the referred laws were highlighted, the context in which each one of them was elaborated and the innovations brought by the most recently norm cited on the subject. In addition, such legal orders were confronted, in order to verify their consonance with the operational doctrine of the Military Police of Minas Gerais, evidencing, if this still currently remains to the requirements imposed by the new law or if there is a need to be revised and adapted to the new reality imposed. Finally, despite the fact that the operational doctrine of the Military Police of Minas Gerais is mostly updated in relation to the new legislation, few adjustments are necesary to guide the work of police officer about to the new Abuse of Authority Law.
