A lei dos crimes hediondos e o pacote anticrime

The Heinous Crimes Act became part of the legal system in 1990, in which it imposes more severe criminal penalties for heinous and similar crimes. In this perspective, the Anti-Crime Package, in the Heinous Crimes Law, made changes regarding the list of these crimes, in addition to changes regarding the progression of regime, probation and other characteristics of serving a sentence. In this sense, the present work aimed to discuss the changes resulting from the Anti-Crime Package in the heinous crimes law. It could be concluded that Law 13.964/2019 introduces relevant changes in the regime progression rules for defendants convicted of heinous crimes. In addition, there was an increase in the progression with regard to crimes committed in a recidivist manner. The methodology used was bibliographic research.
