The criminal responsibility of the psychopath

This article aims to study about the criminal responsibility of the psychopath, given that it is a topic that does not have an express legal provision in the legal system. Psychopathy is an antisocial disorder in which the individual is born with a propensity to present unlawful and unethical conduct, since he uses the most diverse methods to seek to satisfy his goals, with no limit to exercise his powers. In view of this, psychopathy is notoriously a topic that needs greater legal support, as a form of protection by the State against crimes committed by individuals identified as psychopaths, in the Brazilian legal system they are considered as semi-attributable, as it has lucidity in relation to his acts, due to his CID, is insensitive to social norms and has a tendency to commit very violent crimes. The work was formulated through doctrinal research, jurisprudence, research articles present on the internet as well as in current legislation.
