Therefore, the full implementation of the Maria da Penha Law requires a serious and continuous commitment from the State and society to overcome the challenges and obstacles identified, moving towards a more just and egalitarian society, where domestic violence is effectively combatted and eradicated. This study adopts a qualitative methodological approach, aligning with its central objective of analyzing the challenges related to the effectiveness of the Maria da Penha Law. This method enabled an in-depth exploration of the legal and sociocultural aspects involved, going beyond a mere description of the problems to understand their causes and propose potential solutions. The research relied on bibliographic and documentary sources, prioritizing materials that engaged with the topic both theoretically and practically. Relevant legal doctrines, peer-reviewed scientific articles, and institutional reports, including official data from entities like the CNJ and studies from organizations dedicated to women's protection, were consulted. These sources provided a solid foundation for the arguments, ensuring the study presented a current and critical perspective on the subject.The work is systematically structured to interconnect the historical, legal, and social dimensions affecting the implementation of the Maria da Penha Law, ensuring a cohesive narrative and facilitating a progressive understanding of the challenges faced and the interventions needed to overcome them. Finally, the methodology was designed not only to identify and discuss existing obstacles but also to suggest viable pathways for strengthening the legislation and associated public policies. This approach reflects a commitment to offering practical contributions based on critical and well-founded analysis, in line with the objectives outlined in this thesis.
