Synopsis

With urbanism came the various types of buildings and paving that are beneficial to land transport, but these changes in the environment can affect water sources and the maintenance of the water system in various ways, and may cause a delay in the performance of rainwater infiltration capacity. In urban areas, the permeable soil tends to be more covered every day by impermeable paving and sidewalks, and water from rivers is channeled, this is done to create a comfortable infrastructure for the urban population, however it can lead to rapid runoff of water and dynamic drainage affecting the local hydrological cycle, preventing the natural phenomenon of infiltration from occurring. The purpose of this work is to understand and seek to know what happened to the water sources in the eastern region of Betim due to changes in the environment caused by urbanization.
