Synopsis

This article aims to analyze the possibilities of reanatomizing conoid lateral incisors, aiming to present solutions for reanatomizing conoid upper lateral incisors, in an aesthetic, functional and lasting way, being developed based on hypothetical deductive research, through the PubMed databases. , Google Scholar and Scielo, thus it was possible to identify that microdontia is a dental anomaly that affects the upper lateral incisors, known as conoid teeth, being a tooth with a normal-sized root but with a smaller crown and conical shape, which can be hereditary in deciduous or permanent dentition, its treatment is through direct reanatomization with the use of composite resin which has several advantages, including the preservation of the tooth structure, a quick procedure with lower cost, a natural appearance and excellent durability, or indirectly through ceramic laminates that also have good characteristics, including color stability, low plaque accumulation, among others, but laminates should not be the first choice for rehabilitation, as a result of which, nowadays, aesthetics is a major influencer of self-esteem in society as it is what transmits people's personality and confidence, thus making a tireless search for the perfection of the smile and for professionals who work with the individualization of their patients, with humanity and with the correct techniques, so we can conclude that For a more aesthetic and functional treatment of conoid lateral incisor teeth, the most recommended is direct reanatomization with the use of composite resins, making a more conservative procedure, easy to perform, quick, low cost and with the possibility of later readjustment of the restoration.
